I just wanted to welcome you to our forum - it is normal to be scared after getting the news and you only found out a few days ago so all this takes a little bit of time to sink in and you are bound to have questions racing through your mind at the moment especially as this is still a time of uncertainty when you will be needing more tests like the CT scan and there is also the question of the hysterectomy which you have read in your notes.

As you are bound to have a lot of unanswered questions at the moment and are waiting to find out the actual specifics, I would suggest you have a look at the information we have on our website on endometrial cancer which includes a section on treatment for womb cancer where you can find out more about the hysterectomy . 

I have come across many members of our community who have been diagnosed with endometrial cancer most recently Minniemouse17 who posted this endometrial cancer thread and Katie121 who mentioned today on this thread that she had a total hysterectomy after her endometrial cancer diagnosis. Have a look too at Bestall 's endometrial cancer thread as this member was also at the time a bit anxious about the hysterectomy and don't hesitate to reply to any threads you feel might be relevant to you. 

I hope that you won't have to wait too long to get all the details of your diagnosis as well as a bit of clarity regarding treatment and what the next steps might be. Keep us updated if you get a moment on what you find out.

Hi. I had a diagnosis of endometrial cancer 3b and had a hysterectomy and oopherectomy last May. The had chemo, radiotherapy and brachytherapy..finished November 2024. Am trying to build up after treatment atm. Happy to chat if it helps.

Hi I had an appointment with a surgeon this morning, it started in the lining of my uterus and has penetrator most of my  myometrium. She did say that there is no evidence of it anywhere else in my pelvic area although they are slightly concerned about some of my lymph nodes being prominent as they are 8mm in size. 

My symptoms were hard to put as it started with really bad pain during my period to the point I passed out and had to sleep for a few hours after. Then my periods got longer and alot heavier with golf ball size clots and lumps. I had an ultra  sound scan and they found a small polyp (December 23) was then referred to gynaecology but the waiting list was like a18 months. I called about it and contacted the Dr's and they expedited me jn October because I was bleeding for 32 sags straight and was so very tired all the time. Went for a hysteroscopy 10th dec and a week later was called in for an mri scan then was sent a letter to see someone on the 30th dec when I was told I had cancer. 

I have lots of family support and some of my.work colleagues,, my wife has struggled with the news but we are supporting each other and our two boys,, one of which has asd. Xx
