I'm still here! So many years after my metastatic diagnosis.

Just catching up - it's been a while.

Hello everyone, and hoping for the very best of health and happiness for you in 2025.

And wishing you all the very best for 2026!

Thank you to the friends I've met on here, and hoping to encourage anyone living with metastatic cancer, people like myself with difficult diagnoses. I'm still living with my Stage 4 cancer. But still looking after my grandchildren. Still enjoying life. Yes, I get tired, but wow what a wonderful life it is!

Hoping for your best outcome

  • Hi Mare,  I have stage 4 breast cancer with mets in most bones.  I was diagnosed one year ago.  I would like to see your website and know your secret :)

    Hi Lee,

I am not sure there is a "secret" as everyone is so different and our cancers are unique to each of us I think - the nurses will know more about that.

But I believe there are many things we might be able to do to help ourselves stay as healthy as possible in order to receive appropriate medical treatment.

I am always happy to chat about the things that I feel have helped support me on my journey so far.

I do not share my web site publicly but you're welcome to contact me as a "friend" on here. People tend to look at my stuff and pick bits from it that suit them. I also point to the books that have helped encourage me towards hope and focus whilst living with my cancer.

As far as I am aware, treatments are improving all the time so I like to try to stay hopeful wherever I can, but that's sometimes fairly tricky!

Looking forward to chatting to you, and wishing you all the best

    mare
