Hello Fowlersmissus,
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that you feel you haven't had much help. I've had a look on the forum for you and found other members of the forum who have had an optic nerve sheath tumour in the past. For example, Chrisha posted this thread about being diagnosed with optic nerve sheath meningioma and gshield also mentioned having completely lost sight in the right eye so don't hesitate to respond to them if you wish.
I hope that you will hear from others on the forum who have had a similar diagnosis and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you.
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
Hi, I received 28 sessions of radiotherapy earlier this year to control my optic nerve sheath meningioma as it had grown intracranially between my scans in Oct 2020 & March 2021. I had a follow up scan in August and the tumour is stable so not due to be scanned again until Feb. I have no vision at all in my right eye but thankfully no balance problems
