Phyllodes Tumour - anyone else had one of these?

So I was diagnosed with a phyllodes tumour in April. After biopsy it wasn't clear if benign. Either way it needed to be removed. Covid meant a long wait but I finally had my lumpectomy last Monday. All went well now just waiting for the results. I have an appointment on Thursday afternoon. The waiting is just the absolute worst part isn't it. Surgery was a doddle compared to this wait where you can do nothing but watch the hours tick by. Anybody else on here have experience with a phyllodes tumour? I understand they are quite rare and only around 1% of women get them.

    I know your post was in 2020 

    But I have had a BPT removed in November 2020 left breast and found another lump in April 2021 right breast that was removed in May so waiting of my full results as the 2 nd one I have been told is more aggressive and complicated I go tomorrow 8th June to get results.. it is so worrying 

    I hope your well on the mend now take care

    Sorry to hear this Louise I hope your results are good. Let me know how you get on. I'm on a great site on fb (mentioned in a previous post) you should take a look. I have my annual mammogram in a few weeks I am actually quite nervous as my left breast has felt kind of uncomfortable for a while now. Maybe it's just nerves but we'll see. Thinking of you today x

    Hope your keeping well and you have all your results back now, I just had a shave in the area where they removed the BLPT so hoping all will be good with that CT scan end of July just hoping that's it 3 ops since November is to much.

    keeping my fingers very much crossed and can't help but wonder what my chances are of having another pop up especially as my 2 have been in different breasts

    Hi Louise, I hope you're well. The waiting is the worst isn't it. Sorry to hear what you are going through. This is such a scary tumour and it feels like no one really knows much about it :( I had my annual mammogram on Friday so have a 2 week wait now for results.

    Yes defo the waiting is just awful, fingers crossed for you keep us posted it is good to know other people are going through the same thing,  And yes your right no one seams to know much at all I would like to know my chances of getting another we will just have to keep checking out our boobs ourselves and keep our check ups
