Good morning,, I've just had a telephone consultation, I was told my fit test came back at 200. is this a bad sign ? I have to have a colonoscopy in the next 2 weeks, any advice ? x
Been quite the rollercoaster since the FIT test. Had the colonoscopy and they had to stop it due to finding something in the distal sigmoid colon. After the scope they said they had taken biopsy and said they were 80% sure it was cancerous as the tumor had ulcerated.
Been an awful few days but finally had the meeting (after MDT) were they said the findings of the biopsy said no cancer was detected.
The consultant didn’t 100% rule out cancer but said it was unlikely. She said it didn’t look cancerous and believes it is more than likely IBD.
Really not sure how I feel. I went into the meeting thinking that. Due to size of tumor that I was being told it was stage 4. Now the biopsy says it is non cancerous and it is mostly down to inflammation. I am obviously happy but also slightly cautious as they didn’t rule it out 100%. Anyone else been through this?
