Husband had his FIat results today. Had blood in his stools almost 3 weeks ago which he got checked ASAP with his GP. Ordered him a FIT test. Had the results via face to face with GP earlier today. Strongly positive ( I'm assuming this means lots of blood) number was 90 and has been referred for 2 week appointment with colorectal department at hospital. So upset and worried. I don't want him to have cancer. 

Hi Lunarlou, it’s so easy to think the worse in these situations, I know cause I did too. However, try not to worry as he’s been fast tracked and will be getting answers within 2 weeks. 
My fit test was positive and was 400 which is mega high, however I had my colonoscopy today and no mass or evidence of malignancy was found! ️ there are so many things that can cause the bleeding so keep positive! Good luck to you both for good news x

Hi Lisa so nice to hear your had the all clear despite having a high fit reading. Mine came back as 176 so quite worried. Can I ask did they tell you what was causing your symptoms and fit score in the end please?

just had a positive fit of 207, 28 year old female with two young kids. Absolutely terrified. I’ve got colonoscopy next Thursday but I’m a wreck. Can I ask how everybody got on in the last few months? 

Hi I know how you feel - I had a high FIT test beginning of this year - had two more FIT tests after that and the number was going up each time.  I was petrified thinking the worse - I had a colonoscopy and it turned out I had severe diverticulosis and haemmoroids - so please try not to worry - more often than not it turns out to be nothing to worry about at all. I’m sure you will be fine xx

my result was zero two years ago but went up to 200 recently i have bad piles which i hear can trigger tests

I've just had a fit test of >200. I have to go to the GI clinic tomorrow but I cant stop worrying  

I had similar.  Turned out to be a large 5cm  benign polyp. Try not to worry  had ir removed and all clear now

I had the same greater than 200. Had CT colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy which failed. No cancer found, severe diverticulosis. No further investigations at this time. Discharged from 2 week referral back to Doctor.
