  • Hello Penguin

I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis of tonsil cancer. It's understandable that you may be feeling a rollercoaster of emotions after hearing this news and undoubtedly you will have some questions.

We have some information on our website about tonsil cancer that you may find helpful. I'd also suggest that you may want to have a look through this thread. We've quite a number of forum members who have been through treatment for tonsil cancer. If you post on that thread hopefully you will be able to connect with some of those members.  I'm going to tag Hazel aka  in my reply. Hopefully, she will pop along to say hello and share the link to the personal blog that she kept during her treatment journey. I know that many other forum members have found it helpful to read about her experiences.

If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses Penguin, you're most welcome to give them a call. I know they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support they can along with help you think about any questions that you may want to ask. • Hi Sorry I made a typo. HPV driven tumours respond very very well to treatment. I was HPV 16+ so it’s not a bad thing. It is a good thing they do respond to treatment as I’ve just said sorry about the earlier typo, I couldn’t correct it. It’s got an auto correct on it nowadays if you want any more info just send me a message. Don’t be afraid treatments hard, but if I can do it anyone can and we have with HPV and 93% complete response rate.
