We have some information about mouth cancer on our website which may be of interest to you but I also wanted to let you know about our team of nurses. If you'd like to give them a call I'm sure they will be happy to talk things through with you and offer any advice, information, and support that they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

I also wanted to signpost you to this thread. Although its title is regarding throat cancer we've many members who have posted on that thread with different types of oral cancers. They have a wealth of patient experience with oral surgeries and will have lots of advice and tips that may help you in your post-surgical recovery. Do have a look at the thread and maybe post a message there to connect with them.

  • I've just seen your post and by now you will have had the surgery and I hope it all went well. Recovery varies from person to person and I found follow up radiotherapy tired me out, but after that I was soon back to normal. As for survival, my T4N0M0 and subsequent surgery was in March 2014, so now 71 and very grateful to the NHS, consultants, nurses, radiologists, dental surgeons etc. I hope all goes well for you.
