Hi Jules,
Glad you have enjoyed your Christmas. But sooryto har the news about your mother.
With regardto the floaters, I saw my doctor who arranged for me to have an eye inspection. Apperntly its not a mojor problem and you do get used to it in time. It just blurrs the vision for a while. I still have the problem in certain light.
Hope this helps, Brian.
Thanks Brian appreciate hearing back so quick. I know I am due an eye check soon too so maybe need to find some time in the early New Year. Do not feel it is urgent enough to bother my docs with until 'limited appointments' period is over as am sure there are more pressing reasons for other people to see her. Imust admit to it being a bit of a weird sensation but amsure I will get used to it haha.
Take care. Jules
Hello Jules, glad you had a lovely holiday. Re. the floaters, I have had really bad ones ever since my first round of chemo 4 years ago - optician told me ages ago that nothing could be done, so have just got used to the blurriness over time, though it does annoy me sometimes.
Your photos on BP thread are great, as usual, thanks.
Hope work isn't too busy tomorrow!
Take care, Hazel xx
Hi Hazel
Hope you are well and thanks for your kind comments about the BP pics as well as your imput re 'floaters'.Would appear they are more common than I realised and no doubt I will get used to it in time too (think they are reminding me of my age ha ha). Take care. Jules x

Hi all hope you's had a lovely Christmas I sure did. All the family came over and we spent the whole day eating and drinking a few bottles of champagne (adults only of course) lol. My daughters husbands mum just last month lost her husband. Ross (Daughters hubby) is an only child so he would stop by then for a while usually but I phoned his mum up and told her I would love for her to come round to mine for the day and it also means Ross can spend the day with the family and his mum.
Grandkids got spoiled rotten as usual and they went home about 10 pounds heavier as well haha. Better full than an empty stomach. Take care all -Diane xx
Hi Diane
Glad you had a lovely family Christmas. I too spent a couple of days with children/grandchildren which is always special. Back to normality yesterday with work and will certainly need to work a bit harder in the gym when I go back tomorrow ha ha. Thankfully got the food about right so not much to finish off (craftily sent family home with what they could manage!) but need to be a good girl now if the wedding outfit is to look okay. Still 8 weeks to get back in trim.
Sending hugs and best wishes for the New Year and beyond. Jules x
Good morning Jules,
Hope work is not too manic today. I am happy again today as Mrs B has just baked me some cheese straws and you can tell Cathy, they are/were deliciouse. Not doing a lot of good for my weight though and it sounds like I will be joining you in trying to lose weight as soon as my nuts are gone.
With regard to my son, the hospital staff are having a meeting this afternoon to decide on a plan of action. If all goes well and they all agree, we hope he could be home soon allthough he will have to keep going back to have special dressings changed. The main thing is for him to get better as quick as possible. On Christmas night, Mrs B and I had to take him back to the hospital and as there was a stiff brezze chose to take a short cut over Ditchling Beacon. There was very low cloud and I could hardly see the edge of the road at times and when cars came towards us I could hardly see at all. I was so pleased to get him back safely. Mrs B was particulary relieved so we came back home on the main road which luckily was clear. I hadnt expected problems as there was quite a stiff breeze blowing.
I have just completed this months wood club news letter which I have sent for our chairman to write his monthly letter. We are not meeting for a couple of months as we have an aging membership and a lot of members dont like driving at night in the cold. This includes me ha ha.
Allthough we both normally like Christmas, we are both pleased to see the back of this one in some ways. I am now looking forward to it warming up a bit so I can get back out in my garage/workshop to start on my new projects. Plus I need to have another sort out of my timber stocks and that quite a large stockpile. Its a funny thing, but you can put a lot of work into a turning but if you dont have the right timber, I just wont sell that well so I really need to find out what I have. I should mention I have two main piles. Both about four feet square by about five feet tall. Myslef and the guy who normally organises our show are working together on one at Wakehurst Place for a three day show at Easter weekend.
Hope you will enjoy your weekend. Sending hugs and best wishes to you and your family, Brian
Hi Brian, cheese straws .... Grr x
Hi Brian
Driving in low cloud or fog must be a very tiring experience and as for it getting warmer not sure when that might be. Was minus 4 when I went to work this morning and the frost is still on the garden now I am home!! Nice bowl of soup to warm me up though.
Hope your son gets some good news about getting home sooner rather than later though I am sure he will have to be pretty careful for a good while and must be very frustrated by it all. Such a shame when he had just settled into his new job too.
Glad Mrs B still spoiling you with cooking cheese straws and I see that Kathy has already read about them ha ha (Hi and ~Happy New Year Kathy). I am not too pleased to have to work harder to lose the Christmas weight gain but not sorry I enjoyed the food. No plans for the weekend so all being well can be sensible with my meals (trying to plan ahead) and let normality return (whatever that is!!).
Sounds as though the Wood Club will be keeping you busy both with paperwork and new products to be made but Easter is a while away so you have time for the weather to improve so that you can check your timber stacks and begin enjoying yourself again. In the meantime stay warm.
Hope you and MrsB have a peaceful New Year and wish you and the family all the best for 2017. Jules
