Hi lovely Jo ...... Im so sorry that I havent emailed you or Kathy for a while - no excuses really to give. I will make myself sit down and do it in the next couple of days. I am glad I am not the only one who spoils their pooch - I did take Alfie out for an hour and a half today which was probably really silly cos I then felt rough for the rest of the day - but he really enjoyed it! Hope all ok with you Jo and will speak soon xxxxxx
Hi Max,
Good to see Alfie keeping you smiling. Can I come over and you can feed me too? His gourmet menu is making me jealous.
Flat out here like a lizard drinking, preparing for the wedding and the visitors arrival 08/03 but it's all good.
You did take Alfie out for a big walk the other day so small wonder you felt rough honey.
I will email you soon and ask for some dress advice. I am just so not a girlie girl.
You too will be getting excited about your daughters wedding. The better weather should be starting soon over there and the spring flowers making their appearance.
Take care precious girl
Lots of love
K xx
Just touching base with you Max and hope after wearing yourself out (and hopefully Alfie too) by enjoying the 'walkies' at the time, you have taken time to rest up (hope lots of cuddles on the sofa). Sending you hugs for a peaceful weekend. Jules xx
Hi Kathy
Just thought I would post here when I saw your name come up and say as far as wedding clothes advice is concerned go with what feels comfortable. Not sure if there is such a thing as 'fashion protocol' any more but when my daughter married I knew when I looked in the mirror that it was 'right'. I never wear dresses/skirts generally as am a jeans/trousers person (lucky too in that we have trousers choice for uniform in the shop!) but ended up in 'floaty two piece' and it has had a couple of outings since when attending formal do!!
As for Spring flowers well in my Middlesex garden I currently have snowdrops, crocus and daffodils in flower wih the quince just breaking bud so things looking up. Have a great weekend.Hugs Jules x
Hi Max I have only just joined this group today. As bad as things look do not give up hope. I have had metastatic breast cancer for 7 years and still here. I assume primary cancer is breast cancer. There have been some successful trials using virology at the Southern General in Glasgow. Ask your oncologist about trials, what have they said is the treatment plan? Life with cancer is like a hideous roller coaster with spectacular highs and lows. Read, research find out what best options are.
Hi Monkeycat - I can see you have been through an awful lot but also your treatment path is interesting to me, as I am sure it will be to Max. Maybe there is also a Scottish twist? I would discuss this further with you by PM as I don't think it is appropriate to do so here, but that facility is not available at the moment. I hope you will add your voice to Max's petition - we used to have a PM facility and we need it back.
Sorry to hear of your really "Bad News" I have very recently had the same news. Starting to handle it better now. Stay positive.... it helps. I live alone and use music a lot. It doesn't make it go away but it helps.;)
Hi Max only just come back on today and have been looking up all the wonderful people on this site who supported me; among which you were one.. I am so sad to hear your news.I can only offer you my thoughts and prayers. Much love and virtual hugs to you and your familyxx
Hi grumpy .... am sorry to hear your news and hope you are coping. What treatment will you be having? Please keep in touch and we can hopefully help each other x
Conpol .... Thank you for your kind words. How are you? X
Hi Max. I can't believe it is almost a month since I heard from you, (that I didn't respond to your post). Even though I haven't been posting on the forum that much, I have been reading some of the posts. I think I'm in a slump these days. We are having such lousy weather here. It seems like its' been winter forever. I am in the eastern part of Canada, Nova Scotia, and your brother-in-law is in the western part, so we're on opposite ends of the country. Vancouver has much better weather than we do. We are used to having lots of snow pretty much every winter, but this winter is ridiculous. We have been having one storm on top of the other and it has been accumulating a lot and we have big drifts that are likely over my head. We sold our house 4 years ago and moved into an apt. thank goodness because our driveway was about 200 ft. from the road. I can't even imagine trying to shovel that out. Even here in this building, they can't keep up with it because it blows right back in as fast as they plow it out. Anyway, enough about the weather; how are you doing? I think about you often Max. I know you are looking forward to the upcoming wedding of your daughter in May and I hope all goes well for that. Stay in touch and let us know how you're doing.
Take care. Lots of hugs.
Lorraine
