  • Hi Henny-2 and welcome to the forum, though sorry you have to be here, Up until 3 months ago i had been getting about 2 hours a night for 2 years, the 2 things that helped me was doing relaxation therapy and downloading the sleepio app, take care,

  • Thank you, much appreciated. I ill definitely look into the apps!!  Take care too.

  • Hi Henny-2

I took have OC and I can't sleep. I have OC since 2019, when it is active I can't sleep. Are you on steroids too? That keep you awake. I do have nap when I feel tired.

Also for me, yoga helps. Nice gentle yoga, even on chair with slow breathing or breathing awareness... Belly breathing calms nervous system, "massaging" vegus nerve which goes though our body into tummy. Also yoga nidra helps for me too. It is said yogic sleep ( in a nutshell, sleeping meditation) , even 20-40mins yoga nidra is like 8 hour sleep. There are lots of yoga nidra recording on YouTube or any meditation app, worth trying?

  • Hi Norie. Yeah the steroids certainly kept me awake too! Very challenging ay!

I have been hearing alot about yoga with this journey.  I will look into this, when I feel more stable,  as im only on my first Chemo journey at present, so feel,  I'm still learning and adjusting at this stage, but thank you, sounds a positive step going forward.

Will check those apps too, thank you.

    Take care

  • Thisworks deep sleep pillow spray works for me every time. Spray it on your pillow before bed.

  • I practice yoga nidra during day if I haven’t slept as this helps restore energy and listen to meditation’s at night. I use Insight Timer app which is free.Magnesium Flakes in bath helps relax. Really limit tea and coffee especially in the evening. Make sure you get some outdoor time and walk if possible. Hope that helps
