breast cancer to liver

Hiya everyone

I got diagnosed with triple neg breast cancer back in September and have had the lump removed and a few lymph nodes ,the lymph nodes came back clear and i am now waiting to start chemo. The chemo has been cancelled less than 24 hours before twice now because something about hgb levels and high liver function and now the oncologist wants an ultrasound on my liver ,his exact words were I don't want to say it has spread to your liver but ...... very helpful my question is can it spread to the liver without infecting the lymph nodes I was wondering if anyone knows

Hello buffynoodles
l was in two minds to post this response since this would not be what you wanted to hear.Breast cancer cells can break off of the original tumour and travel through the bloodstream to the liver.Typically they do not cause symptoms and are picked up through blood tests.
l hope you get some clear answers back from your tests shortly since the waiting can be the wopst time,

Hi David

Thank you for your reply.
It's OK I was just told earlier in the treatment that if it hadn't got to the nodes then it wouldn't be anywhere else so I was just surprised when the oncologist said yesterday
