Hi Karenk,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi just joined this site reading different comments such an agonising wait for results I'm awaiting my appointment to see if my treatment has worked you feel so lonely at this moment hope all works out for you hang on in there my love thoughts are with you
Thanks Nikki! Im in the same boat. I also called my nurse a couple of days after my biopsies to ask what the situation was. I think I was in shock on the day and only remember people acting/talking as if it was cancer, but no-one actually telling me! But she said it was 99% certain so tomorrow I'm sure it'll just be confirmed and hopefully a treatment plan put in place. I just want to get on with whatever needs doing!
Lucy, I missed your post earlier. I'm so happy for you! It's lovely to hear some positive news amidst all the fear and stress!

I didn't realise we were so similar. Is quite disheartening isn't it. I am so anxious thinking that any twinge or pain elsewhere is it spreading! I really just want to know what's what and get on with getting rid of it . If it is the news we are expecting, then at least we have the support of each other and the rest of the amazing women on this site. What a godsend this has been.
Sending positive thoughts for tomorrow xx
Well done Nikki for being brave enough to call for more information. I'm sorry about your score, but that's news to me, I was just told cancer and no-one mentioned a score before that stereotactic biopsy under mammogram I had last week. I didn't even know they scored the mammograms, so we're all learning here.
To everyone on this site waiting, thanks for sharing and Hopefully you'll get results/treatment plans soon and continue to support each other on this journey - take care Mickey x
I feel so relieved. Not totally out the woods but it's definitely positive. To hear 'we didn't find any cancer' was amazing. I felt like I could breathe for the first time in a month. Hopefully the vacuum biopsy is clear but if it's not, she said it very early days and will just be a simple lumpectomy xx
That's such great news Lucy, so lovely to hear xx fingers crossed for the other biopsies and I hope you get that appointment soon x
Oh hun, sorry to hear about the delay in your results
Sending positive thoughts and lots of love to you ️
Thank you. Back in this Thursday for vacuum biopsy! Very quick. Then they said results will be via telephone on 1st November. My hospital have been amazing. Forever grateful for the NHS ️
Hi Figaro,
You must feel disappointed at not getting your full results today, but to be honest, it all sounds fairly positive. I do hope that you won't need any more biopsies, but you are better being certain now, rather than ignoring something which could grow if left.
Don't worry about the tears. I think that they come with the territory. You will feel better once you get a definite diagnosis irrespective of the outcome.
I hope that your results come back dsoon.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi Lucy,
This is great news. I'm delighted for you. It may not feel like it at the moment, but it's good news that they are checking this tissue just to be absolutely certain. It also sounds as if they are going to rush your results through if they're going to have them for 1st November - I'm sure that you'll have no complaints with that!
I hope that all goes well for you on Thursday.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Thank you Jolamine. You're right, definitely feel a little mixed. I'm obviously so relieved and grateful that they didn't find any cancer but also still nervous at how they feel the need to go back in. But she reassured me that they are double checking. Fingers crossed for no pre cancerous cells and this whole nightmare is over.
I wouldn't have got through this without all you amazing ladies. ️ Will keep everyone updated xx
