Im waiting on breast biopsy results, i get them on monday, the waiting is just dreadful, sometimes your gut feeling tells you what you know but this time i just dont know! Anyone feel or felt the same?
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.

And others i may have missed love and thoughts are with you all, this is the worst bit to get over but yous will get through it, i think its the hardest thing to get through but yous will do it
My pre assessment is a week today and im *** that too because i know a fortnight later it will be my op, know how every one of you feels but very soon you will know where you are at, we are all in this together!

Unfortunately my results are delayed and possibly back tomorrow or Wednesday but the consultant said he would call me once back. Felt physically sick waiting but now have some clarity.
He wrote a Mammogram chart down which says how he scores results.
M1 is normal
M2 is benign
M3 is 1 in 20 is cancer
M4 is more likely to be cancer
M5 definitely cancer
Mine is 3 and he did say it's a small chalky spot that wouldn't be felt and he thinks it will be benign but they can't say for certain, he also said I might need more biopsies if the grade comes back as b3 (biopsy chart) but I'm hopeful and less scared now that I've had a chance to ask all questions and praying that I'm going to be okay.
I did burst into tears again, I don't know where they come from!
He also explained that my breasts will take two months to heal.
You all have been my saving grace this past week, I will let you know what happens next.
Hi Lisa... so glad that you have a little clarity. Been thinking of you all day... it is such a hard thing to go through . I've had my results. Got called in a room with 2 people and instantly fell apart fearing the worst. But it's positive news so far. They didn't find any cancer in my biopsy. They'd like to do a second biopsy (vacuum biopsy) to double check some more tissue. I'm having that done this Thursday and will get the results via telephone on 1st November.
She said worst case scenario is that there are pre cancerous cells present and they will just remove it in the form of a lumpectomy.
Hi Lisa, So sorry your results were delayed but glad you have some clarity and it sounds like you have reason to be optimistic. I really hope you hear soon and it's good news!
Rosie, Karen, thank you for your good wishes! One more sleep for me. Not sure how I've got through the last week but somehow I did (though I'm having a major wobble tonight!). Thank you for thinking of me, I shall update you tomorrow.

I feel so relieved. Not totally out the woods but it's definitely positive. To hear 'we didn't find any cancer' was amazing. I felt like I could breathe for the first time in a month. Hopefully the vacuum biopsy is clear but if it's not, she said it very early days and will just be a simple lumpectomy xx
Thank you. Back in this Thursday for vacuum biopsy! Very quick. Then they said results will be via telephone on 1st November. My hospital have been amazing. Forever grateful for the NHS ️
Wow, that is really quick Lucy, is that under mammogram? If so, just to say I'm told now the steri strips are supposed to stay on 4-5 days -? I messed up there by taking them off too early and have a little hole - oops xx fingers crossed for you xx
No idea! They didn't mention mammogram. Just vacuum biopsy. I've had a couple of mammograms last time and a marker put in. I did think it was very quick. Made me worry a little but definitely not complaining. She seems very positive. Fingers crossed xx
