I am newly diagnosed can you tell me your reasons for having a lumpectomy? As my family want me to have a mastectomy. I know how you feel I feel like *** all the time can’t sleep with no motivation either.

Hi I have lobular breast cancer which was stage 3, grade 2.  The tumour was 4cm.  I was not given an option, I had lumpectomy.

I am awaiting a date was supposed to have been last Tuesday for the operation but I needed a biopsy of lymph node before and results weren’t back. I am in Fareham Hampshire where are you?

Have you discussed fertility with your consultant/breast care nurse, prior to starting hormone therapy? It is worth doing this prior to embarking on any treatment, so that you know exactly where you stand. They have all the research data to hand and are best placed to advise you about this. I hope that they can set your mind to rest.
