I am newly diagnosed can you tell me your reasons for having a lumpectomy? As my family want me to have a mastectomy. I know how you feel I feel like *** all the time can’t sleep with no motivation either.

That is what they offered me. Maybe because of the size and grade. 19mm Grade 2. I dont know. 

Did the doctors give you both options? They should give you all the information so you can make an informed decision.

Ultimately it is your body and no one else can tell you what to do

Can you speak to a breast cancer nurse and talk through your options?

The consultant gave me both options and because my family were with me they thought my best option was a mastectomy I have 3 cancers one the same size as yours and the others smaller in the same area at 8 o’clock and 10 o’clock also grade 2.

i have spoken to the nurse and she says the same as you it is my body so the decision should be mine.
