Pancreatic Cancer

Hello everyone, this has taken me so much to write this.

I rushed my dad to a&e on father's day 2021 and I lost him two days later. He had a scan 3 weeks before he died and heard nothing but when they called me in to tell Dad what was going on with his body they told us it was pancreatic cancer and it had spread to lymph nodes and spleen. I never knew that this was happening to my dad as his gp kept telling him it was ibs and it was his fault for not eating alot.

I was with him when he past and he became very upset due to the level of acid in his body it started to make him very sick. Then his breathing changed then I heard the death rattle and that was it. Gone.

I am now completely broken I am glad Dad wasn't in severe pain for long but my dad was Peter Pan super healthy and it was so quick and I can't seem to get myself going again.

I'm reaching out hoping I'm not on my own really.

Thank you for taking the time to read

  • I'm so sorry to hear this it's heartbreaking and can never be easy to deal with.

the fact that they didn't investigate sooner is ridiculous.

I have been having weight loss and back pain with dodgy stools and the gp told me it was a bug but I'm determined to get to the bottom of it with scans and tests.

like you said im glad he didn't suffer and you need to remember the good times and you did all you could with the information you had.

feel free to message me anytime. again I'm so sorry for your loss.
