Acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Is anyone going through an acute lymphoblastic leukemia diagnosis or knows someone who is? Need to talk x

  • Hi Matt .This is such a difficult time any inspiring advice?

  • Hi Levante, hope your ok. It's very overwhelming and mentally exhausting. I found writing a diary each night helped me. I would jot down everything that had happened during the day including my thoughts and feelings and just how Dad was doing in general. I hope you dont mind me asking what your situation is as for me, this was my 67 year old Dad however I've come to realise this type of leukemia is common in children which I didnt realise until recently.

  • Ah ok bless your Dad.My son was diagnosed in April 2024. My son is 19 he will be 20 in November this year.He was off work one week with what we though was an influenza, like s bad fly.Temperature cough and generally unwell.Towards the end of the week he started feeling dizzy. and his gear beat was racing. My husband his dad took him to urgent care on the Saturday to get him antibiotics as we thiugh he had pneumonia or something as he was coughing with bringing up flem too The urgent care said that his heart his pulse was racing and that his dizziness and blurred vision, there was no antibiotics for these symptoms. They said go to a and e to get blood work done.Honestly soon as hy husband and him got to a and e they soon detected the blood work was hay wire.then severe anemia and then they saw leukemic cells..my life had been a roller coaster ever since. This is a beast of a disease x
