Is anyone going through an acute lymphoblastic leukemia diagnosis or knows someone who is? Need to talk x
Hello Levante,
I just wanted to say hello and I hope that I will be joined by other members of our community who have been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Our website has a detailed section on ALL which you may find useful and if you have any questions about ALL or wanted to talk things through with our cancer nurses, you are welcome to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
As nothing replaces hearing from personal experiences, I had a little look around the forum for you and found a couple of recent threads from members who have been affected by ALL and feel free to connect with them by replying to their threads. Tloular89 posted a thread about a month ago with the title child going through relapsed ALL and I thought you might wish to comment - their child is only 12 and I saw in your other thread that you are a parent yourself of a young man who has been diagnosed with ALL so you might have a lot to say to one another and comforting words of support as you are going through something so difficult at the same time. Another thread which might be of interest was posted by Mrct1974 - this member had ALL 35 years ago and posted their ALL story and had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a bone marrow transplant and they were offering to give advice and support based on their experience as an ALL survivor. Don't hesitate to post a reply to their thread if you would like to share your story or ask any questions.
I hope that you will hear from someone else who has had an ALL diagnosed or who supported a loved one through ALL treatment.
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator

Yes my son was diagnosed with ALL in February. I didn't have anyone to talk to at the start and felt quite alone, but we're now receiving support from a couple of local organisations and I've found a group on Facebook called UK - Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia which is really helpful.
