I have been looking on line for the urgent referral department at local hospital. The only thing that comes up is the Macmillan help line.

I believe the proceedure can cause Pain afterwards due to the air they put in needing to escape afterward.
I forgot to mention I had 18 biopsy samples taken today. 6 x in 3 areas of my colon.
One checking for chrones the other 2 areas for 2 different types of cancer.
I am at present taking something for the pain.
Infection is another reason given why nodes can be enlarged.
The point being, they always swell for a reason.
It is very frustrating to feel like a case number and not a person with rights or feelings
I am sorry to know that you are having a similar experience.
I'm probably over thinking things again, they seem sure my issues are due to infection, which could have been caused by the Prinary Billiary Cholongitis they diagnosed me as having, autoimmune disease, where my body thinks my liver bile ducts are foreign objects so attack them.
Glad you have pain relief. And they have taken lots of biopsies so hopefully they will be able to diagnose you fully soon. More wondering and waiting for you again. But you did the procedure so well done, sounds like you were really brave. I hope your be able to sleep ok tonight xx
It's not great when we don't get complete answers. It leaves us over thinking...
Yes more wondering and waiting. Thank you for the suggestion in your previous message.
I will deffinately write questions down before my phone Consult on Tuesday.
I slept ok due to pain meds and being sedated earlier.
Thank you.
How did you feel, when you were diagnosed with an autoimmune disease?
xx
Glad you slept well.
I was first pleased the consultant didnt think it was cancer. She went through my history up to now, also did a examination of my upper body. There was alot to cover, so she told me the name of the immune disease and told me not to google it and would talk about it when had next outpatient appt and said would be under her for life. I got bus home, googled it and it said it can be controlled and delayed by a medication, which if doesant work there is another med they can use, and if neither work I may one day need a liver transplant!
I had a fibroscan in clinic and it showed i had no cirrhosis and a soft liver, so that is good.
I made a friend on facebok who actually lives 2 streets away, who has the same condition, so she has been able to give some info. Its apparently fairly rare with only 9000 people in the uk having it.
Wow that is rare. Your diagnosis isn't a great one and I do feel it for you.
I know we always instantly feel relieved when the diagnosis isn't cancer but then there are other things that can potentially be hard to live with.
it's great that you have discovered support not too far from where you live
So pleased to hear that there are meds to help keep it under control.
Pls keep me updated with how you are getting on
xx
Yes, im still worried about the 2cm liver mass, hoping its hadn't got bigger when have mri in nov. Let me know how your phone consultation goes tuesday. I wont get my results from gp blood tests till a week on Tuesday, be interesting to see if theres any clue to the fatigue.
Have a nice rest of the weekend, though its cloudy and cold here, rubbish summer lol.
I hope when you have your next scan that the liver mass hasn't grown and that your medication for your autoimmune liver disease is working. Please let me know how it goes in Nov.
I know of your condition but didn't realise it was so rare. Fatigue is a part of what you have. Life style changes may help to reduce that. Especially if you are fatigued towards the end of your day.
I hope you don't mind the suggestion...
The sun is trying to shine here. Yesterday was marvellous. After my proceedure, I came home and sat/rested in the garden for over 2hours. The doze did me good
I agree this summer has been rubbish with a tease here and there!
I am armed with my questions for Tuesday. I will let you know how it goes.
Thinking of you.
xx
It's a fatigue that just comes over me, I'm not sure I can do much about it.
The sun still hasn't come out in Oxfordshire, still cloudy. Nice you had a good doze after your appt.
Yes hope so thank you, seems ages until nov. My next clinic appt is a week before xmas, so I expect the roads will be really busy with shoppers!: meant to be in 3 months time since my last one, but it will be 4 and a half months, but I suppose these hospital clinics are busy and is a face to face appt too. The consultant lady was really nice so that's good.
Hope your having a nice sunday, my partner working to 6.30 so have a dinner then, he is off tomo.
I found my.consultant had already answered most of my questions. I was sat in the clinic with a notepad and pen lol.
Hi
Enjoy your Bank Holiday together.
