Fine Needle Biopsy of Thyroid

Hi all, 

I'm having one of these next week on some nodules on my throid. I had an ultrasound a week or so ago and she said I had 'many' nodules. Keen to hear from anyone who has had one before. How was it? How long did the results take to come back?

I have a stubbly kind of beard, it was fine for the ultrasound but will they want me clean chaven for this do you think?

    I had a biopsy on my thyroid. It felt kinda like a needle sticking into you, like an ordinary sewing needle. A bit of a sting for a few seconds, but nothing major. I went right back to work after it.

    I had an appointment the following week to get my results.

    Sorry, I don't know about the beard.
