Fine Needle Biopsy of Thyroid

Hi all,

I'm having one of these next week on some nodules on my throid. I had an ultrasound a week or so ago and she said I had 'many' nodules. Keen to hear from anyone who has had one before. How was it? How long did the results take to come back?

I have a stubbly kind of beard, it was fine for the ultrasound but will they want me clean chaven for this do you think?

Hello, i had a thyroid biopsy done a few years ago, from what I remember it was painless, they used local anaesthetic which was probably the most painful thing. The procedure only lasted a few minutes and the results came back within a week. i hope this helps.
