Hello all,
I have no lumps, no changes in breasts etc. But I have pain in my armpit. It isn't there all the time, but I feel it throughout the day. Has anyone else had this? Is it just hormonal or could this be a sign of something else?
Thank you :)

Did you manage to get any answers? I'm experiencing very similar. I have pain in my right armpit but I can't feel any lumps. I had the pain a few months ago and it's appeared again so I'm starting to really worry. It's so hard to get a GP appointment at the moment I'm worried it will take so long for any answers.
At the start I put it down to muscle strain but I'm certain it can't have happened again.
Hi everyone
Did anyone get any answers?
I keep coming back to this when I Google my symptoms, I have had this for I guess 1-2 years. The tender/aching armpit on the left.
I had my son 4 years ago and felt I had a lump under my breast (left) and the doctor could not feel it but she sent me to get checked to the breast clinic. All was fine.
I have got this armpit thing since 1-2 years but I thought it was where I put weight on but that doesn't make sense.
Anyway now I have had baby number 7 I can't stop sweating, it's constant. Baby is 4 wks old and since I had the baby I have noticed my armpit has been so much worse.
I noticed not many replied I hope it's because they've forgotten or don't have the notifications and it's the worst case scenario!
Myself and baby have the 6 wks check up so I will mention this, that's on 10th so not long.
Feeling very anxious it's all I can think about and can't get any positive reasons of why this can be happening.
Has anyone at all had this checked and got a positive outcome?
How did you get on? Really hope you've got good news.
I went for the 6 week check up and the doctor felt under my armpit she wasn't worried, wasn't a thorough check though.
I'm still really worried it feels like a numbing feeling, i have noticed that it gets worse when I put on weight, when I'm working out/eating healthier it's less noticeable but lately has been constant numbing/ aching feeling.
I want to be checked properly but I feel like the Doctor won't take me seriously as she didn't fins a lump.
No that was a different lady.
I came back on here to look at my last comments.
So I got checked the GP said she couldn't feel a lump .. all good that was July/August at my babies 6 week check up, I didn't feel happy about this tbh had an instinct but life gets ahead of us doing it.
Now here I am .. I went to the GP who is new as I have a huge cyst on my left breast and it's infected all ok, she gives me a full breast examination and says she can feel a lump under my armpit said does it feel tender I said no.
I said all symptons previously, and she's sending me to breast clinic 17th Next Friday. She said please don't spend all week worrying as it can be a swollen lymph node due to have the infection on that side, this Doctor is like no other Iv ever had before she is honestly amazing, checks everything she explains everyone very carefully and the care is just well I at nearly 40 haven't had this kind of care in a GP appointment, Iv had 2 appointments with her now for different things and she was the same both times.
She said it's likely swollen lymph but it's better to be checked.
Going back to my 6 wk check up, the check she did wasn't the same she just felt around for like 20 seconds saod she can't feel anything, not saying she's not a good gp at all but there was a huge difference, and I'm worried it was missed.
I have the check up and now I'm so terrified, I didn't feel this lump and still can't, I feel so worried and don't know what to even think but I have this wait which feels like years away it's only 8 days!
Has anyone had this before? I don't want to worry anyone I know with it.
Hi
has one one had any news as I get a pain under my armpits as well. I cannot seem to find a lump but all ways feel a deep pain and burning
I will let you know Friday but from what my doctor said pain is the lymph nodes it's lumps that are the problem, just get checked and demand they search for a lump properly
Hello was just wondering how you're appointment went? I've been suffering with a dull ache in my armpit for some time now and have seen the gp twice but because there is no lump there they dont seem to be taking me seriously
Hi,
I went to the local breast clinic, I had a ultra sound with a consultant, he said it was a cyst and nothing to worry about. I think it's been there for a long time as I get this numb aching feeling all the time.
Get another appointment and say that this is bothering you and you want to checked out, your symptoms seem exactly like mine.
Hi Casey,
Your description about the invisible ball in the armpit is exactly what I feel for over a year now!
I'm wondering if you had any results from the breast clinic regarding your lump. Really hope you got good news! x
Hi Julie and welcome to Cancer Chat.
I just wanted to make a quick post as I noticed you were hoping to hear back from Casey.
Unfortunately they haven't been on the forum for a little while now so you may not get a reply.
I really hope that won't be the case but if you don't hear back from them, do feel free to start your own discussion about this or you can try reaching out to others on more recent discussions you find about this topic on the forum.
Kind regards,

Hi all,
It’s been 1.9 months since l felt this pain in my armpit, first it started with both armpits and now only right hand side. It doesn’t feel pain but when l use roll on or accidentally my clothes gets stuck then it hurts but pain is dull and when l touch or trying find something it hurts burning pain but it’s there and l don’t feel normal about it, 6 months ago l seen GP for it and she touch said seems fine but I’m hrt and going through worst anxiety symptoms, panic attacks, pain in chest so l didn’t concentrate on this but today it’s really bothering me when l tried to clean dark under my armpit it really hurts. I never knew what caused this anxiety but l still suffer, my first attack was same year l felt this pain so now l think it is related. There is something there so decided to make appointment with GP just for this. Will update once l get an answer.

Hi OzzyB,
A very warm welcome to the forum.
As you can see from the above posts, this can happen. It is impossible to say what the cause might be. The only way to be sure is to see your GP and get referred to the breast clinic. Here, they will usually carry out some tests. The tests vary according to the age of the individual, but can include, mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy. Have you seen your GP about this? - if not, please do so and let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,

Hi, I started getting pain high up in my left armpit for a week now, first I thought was the bra I was wearing so switched but no relief.
If I press on the area there is pain and I feel discomfort sometimes when move my arm.
luckily I have a routine mammogram booked in next Friday ( family history of breast cancer ) I have been having mammograms since I was 39 I’m 51 now.
I would like to think it’s hormonal or a strain but am always so worried it’s something else. I haven’t spoke with my Gp yet because I have mammogram planned but if still painful by Thursday I will submit a econsult I can’t feel a lump myself so maybe getting a professional to check would help , my husband would be clueless!
Kind regards X
Hi Brooke-worth,
A very warm welcome to the forum.
I am sorry to hear that you have these symptoms. Given the family history of breast cancer, you will naturally be concerned. If you hadn't already got the mammogram booked, I would be advising you to see your GP. However, if anything of concern is noticed on the mammogram, you would be recalled and would probably get in the breast care clinic sooner than with a GP referral. Most people who develop breast cancer don't have any pain, but there are exceptions to every rule. We are always advised to get any changes in our breasts checked out, so you are doing the right thing.
I sincerely hope that nothing untoward is found. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
