Hard Lump in my Ear (Helix area) that I popped

I'm curious to know whether this is cancer or not, seeing as google keeps telling me it's cancer, but I can't find any definite answer, thanks! Also, this lump popped into blood (I'm not sure if puss came out as I had just checked the mirror, and the lump isn't visible from my angle). It's kind of subducted beneath the antihelix, so that's why the angle is basically impossible to get. I applied pressure to pop if anyone was curious.

(I doubt it is cancer, due to the popping, but I need answers asap).

I'm really anxious and need help asap.

  • Have  you got a piercing in that area? Could be a keloid?

  • I am not doctor and I have no medical qualifications.

Since it popped, it was quite likely to be a zit or a minor infection that had got into the skin and caused a tiny cyst.

You might find you can see into the ear by standing at a wall mirror, and holding a small mirror in the same hand as the affected ear.  Reflect the ear in the hand mirror, and look at the hand mirror using the wall mirror.  No doubt you will struggle at first to get the image just right but with a bit of practice you should manage it.

If it was a zit or cyst, it should heal up quickly and not leave any mark or swelling behind.  If you're in any doubt, see your GP.

PS: Everything is cancer according to Google.  That's why we tend not to rely on it on this site.
