Hi Bunceythegreat1. Welcome to the forum.

You need to go back to your GP and explain the problem in detail. Stress that you're having pain and ask for an appropriate specialist referral.  As you've already had a recent ultrasound, I can't imagine why the GP would send you for another; however, when you see a specialist, then it's possible that more tests will be ordered. 

I'm hoping to see a doctor tomorrow, but I have private medical care aswell so I will be pushing for specialist because the pain is unbearable at times. Hoping the doctor will understand and not try and push it off like last time.

So been to the doctor, they gave me open referral, however states I need to see a urologist. So have appointment booked on tuesday.

The good news is that you don't have cancer.  I had heard of variocele of course, but I always thought it was easily treatable. Looks like you have a trickier case. Fingers crossed that it works out for you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're still in so much pain. Is there nothing your GP can prescribe for you to make it more bearable?

Just to let you know I had the varicocele embolisation and was a very fast op, I'm pain free and it has done the trick for now so happy. So hopefully it stays that way thanks again all for the support.

That's great news, and thanks for keeping us updated.  

I know there was some doubt that the embolisation would work, but clearly it has worked for you. I'm so glad that your pain is now gone.
