Waiting for biopsy results - Uterine Cancer

I have just started the agonising wait for results. Had a hysteroscopy on Saturday and was told it should be 2 weeks. I am quite a strong person but this is going to be hard. Of course I know that it could be fine but I went to my GP in January and it is now April. Even if the results are clear I still have to have all the polyps removed under a 'general'.

  • Kerry, glad to hear your results came back clear.. Had my hysteroscopy this morning, found it realy painful and hope I never have to go through that again, now the agonising wait for the results starts, trying to be positive but its so hard and 2 to 3 weeks for the results seems so far away x

  • So sorry ladies you had to go through so much pain. I had my hysteroscopy done under general sedation last Wednesday and it went very smoothly. I have very little pain after it and already the results form histology that came back benign.
Stay strong and don't worry beforehand. Don't research the  internet. You'll always find your fear there.

  • Hi I'm a bit worried at the moment,my daughter had a biopsy on her womb on Monday 14th June 2021. She was told the results would be back up too 2 weeks, got a phone call this morning from the hospital 16th June 2021 and said results are back.  Made appointments for her for the 1st July 2021. She did ask can they make it before then, they they are booked up. She really worried and keeps crying.

  • Hey, I'm new here. I've been undergoing investigations for sometime, seen the gynaecologist in January and due to pelvic pressure pain, and other pains and abnormal periods they decided to do a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. I was told thenwaiting list was 6 months however i received my pre op the week after and my surgery was booked for 2 weeks later but the anaethetist rescheduled it for another 2 weeks as they wanted me to stay in for some reason. Laparoscopy showed I am basically riddled with endometriosis so they removed it but my hysteroscopy showed I have a bulky uterus & a wide fundus (whatever these mean) I've had a biopsy and waiting on the results. I'm so worried waiting for these results. My surgeries happened 8 days ago and I believe it can take up to 6 weeks. For those who was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, how was you given the information over the phone or asked to go in?
