Hi wanting to ask questions I've recently started bleeding in between periods sore legs sore pelvic pain can't control my bladder at times sore when having sex and after sex have staining in discharge 

Hi I'm new here too and was on the contraceptive injection for 20+ years with no periods 6 years ago I changed to the implant in the arm and again there has been no problems no periods untill sept 19 I started to have irregular bleeding every  shade of red you could think including black and large clots but this would onlyhappen after having a pee and wiping and never the need for a pad this has been on going with only a few day break in between I was concerned never had this happen before I had also started having acid reflux this had gotten quite bad over a few weeks to the point I have been vomiting acid in my sleep that's woken me up with the horrid burn and acid pain  after a few weeks I started to have abdo pain and back pain a dull pain this went on for 2 weeks it got so bad I went to A&E at 4am as it was effecting my sleep basic bloods done but nothing else advised to get a smear as I was 44 and had never had one so the following week I had a smear and explained to my Gp what was going on who said she would book an ultrasound scan and prescribed lanzoprazole for the acid to take as and when  I felt I needed it the abdo pain subsided but the bleeding has continued on and off  through Christmas  my smear was clear but still no scan appointment then  last week at work I started to get lower abdo pain again with back pain this felt dull ovarian pain and kidney pain I persevered though work for the last 2 shifts I had to do that week (wed thurs) and thought I would see how the weekend went but the pain was getting more intense effecting my sitting and  standing a pulling sensation abdo pain on standing and a constant dull ache in the back and abdomen left and right side I went to Gp on Monday who had a prod of my abdomen to find my pain was more on the left she then did bloods and noticed she had forgotten to do the scan appointment back in October and booked one there and then for this Sunday at 10am at my local Norwich hospital I'm due back at work Monday and as I work for the NHS I'm worried about taking time out as there funny about sickness records and this will be my third but if I go back and my results come back where I need treatment or further tests it means more time out plus my pain is still constant and is now hurting on walking or standing in one spot I'm at a loss

should I be concerned 

I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 2 years ago and have had my meds increased twice due to fatigue symptoms and out of range THS levels and had my levothyroxine increased from 75 to 150 over last 7mths

ive just read your post and wondered how you got on?

im currently worried about my symptoms, I'm not due a smear till June but I'm going to ring up tomorrow to see if I can have an earlier one.

 by the time I went for the ultrasound on the 26th  jan I was screaming and crying in pain walking across the car park and was rushed in to the ultrasound room the scan showed 1100mls of urine in my bladder I was sent to a&e department to have a Cather put in after 5 attempts of not being able too put catheter in as there seemed like a blockage they managed it and drained it off  and I was sent home with Cather in place and codine for my pain  on Tuesday 4th district nurse did trial with out catheter but on the Thursday i got up things didn't feel right and on trying to go to the loo I poured with blood and clots and went back in to retention this ended up as a a&e trip again as district nurses was unable to get catheter back in again 4 attempts at hospital and then another 1100 mls drained out and sent home 

then after 6 days of extreme pain feeling the Catheter  had not been put in right and  felt it was in side ways yesterday The catheter  stopped working so I was blue lighted in to hospital  as district nurse felt she would risk attempts again  they removed  the old one and urologist was called down this time to replace it and he drains 1400mls of pure blood clots he now advised no one is to touch me bar him if there any problems I'm to contact him and I'm seeing him on the 1st of March for further tests to find cause and cancer is one he wants to check for worried is now an understatement the urologist did say I had a very abnormal urethra and it was far too short I hate waiting games

Hi everyone, 

I'm 33, mother of 2, I've just come back from the GP and she gave me an internal examination (using her fingers) put no pap/smear/sample taken or anything like that, she took bloods and has reffered me for a pelvic ultrasound. 

Does this sound right? I have had irregular bleeding, pelvic pains, back ache, generally feel tired and awful.

just came across your post and it sounds very similar to what I'm experiencing and I'm currently waiting on an internal ultrasound.

i was just wondering if you have had yours yet and if you are still experiencing your symptoms?

Hi guys, caitlin you mentioned a stinging after sex, was this like a burning sensation?  I have a cervical inflammation, irregular periods which are painful as heck but the most undeniable thing is the random burning after sed sometimes, its unbearable. Have you had any clarity on what this was?

Hi ladies I'm a cervical cancer survivor stage 2b. I had clear smear tests and hpv negative so all my symptoms I was fobbed off as peri menopause (I was 41) I had smelly runny discharge which was always stained apart from that nothing. Every test came back clear including internal scans (which I later found out don't look at cervix) in the end my gp after my insistence looked at my cervix and saw something wrong yet she had done a smear 4 months earlier and my cervix was deemed healthy, mri eventually revealed 5cm tumour. Aggressive chemo and radiotherapy later and I got all clear 25/20/2020. Any questions feel free to ask x

I've just had a letter from hospital saying I've low grade dyskaryosis and positive hpv I've had spotting for six weeks now sometimes watery other times thick and smelly got to wear a pad all the time ive had lower back pain like I would with a period with frequent urination and extreme exhaustion going out of my mind now what it could be, awaiting a colposcopy appointment whenever that maybe I'm 36 going on 37 with no children and on the patch been on it over a year with no problems can anyone please put my mind at ease

Hi ya ... back pain was one of my symptoms I was taking ibuprofen everyday .. insist on an mri scan as every other scan (vaginal) and tests were clear even my bloods were perfect except slight anaemia which was only found after diagnosis. It was only me pushing that got the diagnosis in the end, at the end of the day you know your own body, I knew something was wrong so banged on doors .. if you feel something isn't right then push.. good luck and I hope it turns out all is ok xx

It took me a year of pursuing it .. I'm really well.  People automatically think cancer is a death sentence when a lot of the time now it isn't, treatment has come so far.  I finished treatment a year ago this month you will be fine xx

Thank you for sharing your experience & advice, I was 2 weeks late so my Dr ordered a hormone blood test & self swab test (both done today) Was meant to have smear & exam as I also have a small lump there, I have a scan booked for mid August but Symptoms changed from no bleed to constant heavy bleed & clots for past 3 weeks, with pelvic & low back pain, I cancelled my smear & exam as google said it would affect the result but know I don't know when I will be able to have them, a friend thinks it's the menopause but I didn't think it was like this...and google pointed to cancer & found this group. I'm scared about a diagnosis & have no-one to turn to (I just lost my Mum to cancer). Can't stop crying & feeling it's going to be the worst news. I'm 47 x
