Lymphoma? HL? NHL? something else?

About 8 months ago a lump came up just inside my right collarbone. I saw the GP, she said I would have to wait two weeks and if it was still there she would refer me. Well, it went away. Only it came back a few weeks ago. It's kidney bean shaped (I think, it's def not round), about an inch long, it's sometimes tender, my neck aches in the evening and sometimes the morning. A few days ago another lump appeared, much smaller and round, like a smallish pea, next to the other one. This one is sore all the time.

I have had night sweats but not sure if I'm just hot.

I've seen a different gp and she took bloods (nothing significant other than crp 129) and has referred me for an ultrasound, and I'm currently awaiting that appointment.

Of course I've googled these things and it comes back with the worst.

Can anyone suggest anything non cancer related?

I hsvd a 13 month old son and the thought of being away from him or not seeing him grow up breaks my heart.

  • hello! i’m not sure if you will see this but i’m glad to hear you are in remission. did your blood tests show abnormalities? i had a blood test four months ago and they came back clean and it’s the only test my doctor decided to perform on me due to having a 3cm lymph node. it’s probably bc i’m only 16. i also have this weird feeling of my rib getting stuck on my left side, my rib definitely pops around and i can  only really feel this sensation when i’m very anxious/stressed but i’m scared it’s to do with my spleen although if i stick my fingers under my rib cage i can’t feel anything. i also aches all over but this also appears to be from my anxiety. i have so much anxiety and depression over this and i already suffer from bad mental health and this is making me feel awful, this has been going on since january. do you think it is likely something is wrong with me? i really don’t want there to be ive not even finished school yet i’m literally still a kid :( thanks xxx

  • Its winter and i have come down with a runny nose fatigue sneezing and lumps, fever, and lumps under both arms which are bigger than normal and hard when i touch it but move able and a little bit squishy when i put pressure on it. i also have a bean sized lymph node that is hard behind my neck. Could it be a cold or something else

  • Hi

I hope you are all keeping well!

I have recently been diagnosed with helicobacter I have been on 3 tablet therapy for 7 days and I am feeling pretty terrible I have major fatigue and pains in my lower back I have a sound like a crack when I yawn also a horrible pain in my left hip and my neck has had a pain for months now.  Has anyone had similar symptoms before being diagnosed with lymphoma.  I have a stomach scan and a camera in the next few weeks.  Do you think anything would show up on a stomach scan.  I haven’t felt myself in a long time with tiredness and feeling low.  I had chest spasms and went on a sleep apnea study which I don’t have

also eciguser how are you keeping?? I also smoke an ecig and I don’t trust it and when I seen your name alarm bells are going off in my head

    Many Thanks

  • Hi eciguser

    I hope you are well

Can you give me an update on your journey?

    cheers

  • Hey I just wondered what your night sweats were like did they start mild and get worse and how bad were they ? Xx

  • Hi I wonder if anyone can give me some advise please. Last year I had lots of blood tests done and all were fine I'd had some upper abdominal pain and had an ultrasound which shown a largest gallstone so I'm on the list to have my gallbladder out. I was put on statins as my cholesterol was high and then started to get night sweats not drenching and not waking me, its if I wake up to use the loo, I get back to bed and flush up. I've not worried about it as I have no lumps or bumps and my bloods were ok and put it down to the statins but am not sure now! Thank you x

  • Hi - I'm so sorry to hear you had to go through this anxiety and glad to see from other threads you are completely cured with a second baby!

I am in a similar situation, have been referred for ultrasound due to a lump behind my ear and one in my neck. I have a 2 years old and completely panicking about the thought of it being the dreaded c word. I have lost quite a lot of weight after the pregnancy and am now about 2 kg under my pre-pregnancy weight but its been stable for a while now.

I don't know if i'm imagining things now but I also have experienced random "hot flashes" where I suddenly feel really hot and sweaty but it stops within a couple minutes usually and i'm not drenched in sweat.

My ultrasound is tomorrow - they did not mention anything about FNA or biopsy so I was wondering if it was always planned that way for you or if they decided to do it when they did the ultrasound? I'm so anxious about it it's making me sick.
