I had pretty much exactly this experience and came back cin1 only and back in 12months.

The colposcopist was pretty much preparing me for the fact that she knew she would be seeing me again - and actually when I finally got a callback with results (I was not patient in the end & rang a day before their expected wait time was up -letter took another week after that), she remembered me and was glad to be proven wrong.

At the colposcopy the iodine solution stayed "glowing" which usually means more serious changes and she took 6 punch biopsies and was asking me if I'd been under general anesthesia before as the suspect areas were hard to reach so she wouldn't be able to burn them off without me being put under.

Anyway here is my positive story so far - the wait was unbearable, I had the procedure new years eve so awful start to the year.  I am still incredibly anxious what will happen at the 12month mark and next exam.

mine went exactly the same after she put the dye on her demeanour changed. 

I got my results back Monday cin1 and to have another smear in 12 months.
