Abnormal breast lesion and lymph node

Hello,

I’m currently waiting for biopsy results after a fast-moving breast issue and I’m trying to make sense of everything that’s happened so far.

A lump in my breast has grown rapidly—about tripling in size over roughly 8 weeks. I had an ultrasound about 7 months ago which was clear at the time, but this recent scan came back abnormal. On the same day, I also had a mammogram and ultrasound of my lymph nodes, both of which were described as abnormal/suspicious.

Because of this, I had a core needle biopsy taken that same day, with multiple samples taken from both the breast lump and the lymph nodes. Metal markers were also placed. I’ve since been told the scans are considered “suspicious,” and my case is going to a multidisciplinary panel next Wednesday.

I’m now waiting on results (day 4 at the moment). I’ve been told to prepare for a difficult conversation when I get them.

In terms of symptoms, I’ve noticed fatigue, some intermittent pain in the lump (currently around 4–6 cm), shorter periods than usual, swollen lymph nodes under my jaw, and a general heavy or weak feeling in my body.

I’m struggling with the uncertainty and trying not to jump to worst-case scenarios while I wait for answers.

Has anyone had a similar experience?
