Potential womb cancer

I had a postmenopausal bleed and went to my GP.  She examined me and referred me under the 2 week suspected cancer referral (Scotland)  I have an ultrasound in a couple of days and I am not coping with the wait.  I seem to have every symptom that indicates a positive result.  It doesn't help that I live on my own and can't stop Googling...

  • The two week wait can be very hard, every step seems to be the full two weeks. If it does turn out to be cancer( which I hope it doesn’t) the cogs of the machine run quite smoothly.

i have womb cancer (but no womb) and I’ve had good care . I hope your wait isn’t too arduous. Keep busy it’s the only way xx

  • Thank you Gogog - just back from ultrasound was advised it can take up to 10 days for results.

  • I ws diagnosed last September with stage 1B. The CA125 results was in low 100 and by the time the symptoms became more frequent he result was 325. It was shocking at first and turn my world upside down however its been nearly a year now and I have just repeated the first CA125 after having a full radical hysterectomy and follow up brachytherapy and the result is back to normal 14 and the follow up last week the vaginal vault appears norma. It has changed my perspective on life telling family was the hardest and it has taken to be honest all these months for the surgery and the diagnosis to sink in.
