My doctor has also seen me this evening and referred me for a 2 week wait appointment for post menopause symptoms too.  The symptoms are indicating thickening of the uterus which may indicate cancer.  I just dont know and also very worried although GP has told me that around 1 in 500 have cancer - that it's possibly something else.  I always catastrophise so Googling all the time.  What else could it be though and what is the prognosis?

It is very worrying and I catastrophise too.  I'm not sleeping much and that certainly doesn't help.  Hoping to find out tomorrow when I'll get results from the scan.  Hope you get an appointment soon.

Thank you Tessmum.  Wishing you well for your scan results and hope it's good news.  How long did you wait for a scan?  I am worried about having a hysteroscopy.  I dont hope we'll either pain, so would only contemplate under GA

I went to my GP 10 days ago and had a call from the hospital with my scan date last Tuesday.
