My doctor has also seen me this evening and referred me for a 2 week wait appointment for post menopause symptoms too.  The symptoms are indicating thickening of the uterus which may indicate cancer.  I just dont know and also very worried although GP has told me that around 1 in 500 have cancer - that it's possibly something else.  I always catastrophise so Googling all the time.  What else could it be though and what is the prognosis?

Hi Sheian it is very stressful.  Not sleeping much doesn't help either.  I got a letter from the hospital telling me they will review the scan results (have an ultrasound tomorrow) and they'll be in touch in due course.  Hoping to find out roughly when that will be.  Hope you get an appointment soon.

Thank you Tessmum.  Wishing you well for your scan results and hope it's good news.  How long did you wait for a scan?  I am worried about having a hysteroscopy.  I dont hope we'll either pain, so would only contemplate under GA
