Hi I had to re read this post as it was like I’d written it myself. I am going through the same, and like your consultant mine too wasn’t concerned- that changed with the radiologist when he saw it was solid! 

I had 3 biopsies on that area and whilst doing them they took pictures with the screen I think, which concerned me more.

My anxiety is always there although sometimes I’m strong and other times just crying.

Thankyou so much - thanks for your concern whilst you are experiencing the same . I’m trying to remain positive . I had a clear mammogram in January so it’s all come as a shock , I don’t know about you but I’m black and blue from the biopsy , the steri strips have come off now - they were in a funny position near my armpit and came off in this heat . My lump feels like it’s  got bigger too - but read this I’d normal after a core biopsy . My holiday is a week on Sunday - I think I’m going to cancel it , my anxiety is through the roof Xx thanks for reaching out and I hope you get answers very soon xxx

It seemed to go as planned thank you. I'm doing OK do far. Not as bad as I thought I  might be. I would like the drain to go. Codeine really is my friend right now. Xx

Oh that doesn’t sound nice at all but yay for the codeine! How long did you have to stay in the hospital for? Xx 

They said most are discharged the same day but as I have small children they wanted to keep me in. But given the heatwave they said I could go home. So I was home by 8pm and very grateful I was too :) It was very hot in the hospital and I was very glad to be in my own bed. Xx

That’s so good that you got home the same day. Hopefully you’re managing to rest now. How old are your little ones? Xx 

My youngest turned 5 in early June and my eldest will turn 7 next week :)  They are my driving force in this. I need to be here for my girls as they grown up. I've had a very restful day thanks. Daddy day care in full flow :) xx 

They are a fantastic driving force  You will be there to watch them grow up  Glad you had a restful day. You sound like such a tough cookie and the help and support you offer on here is so appreciated xx

My biopsy result came back clear yesterday which was a huge relief, however I still have this rash on my breast so back to the breast consultant to get it checked tomorrow- so I’m not feeling completely relieved at the moment!

They had to chase up my results, so after chasing they got them through last night and the breast nurse called me. 

Could be worth giving them a call to see if they’re back, I only got mine back as the breast nurse gave me her details and said to keep in touch if I got too anxious… which obviously I did xxx

Hi Thearcher, I'm so pleased your results came back clear! That must be a huge relief.  Please let us know how you get on today. I'm back in for my 1 week post op checks today and I will finally get rid of this awful surgical drain :) xx

Oh that must be such a relief to be getting rid of that, it must be so very uncomfortable! Thank you, I will let you know, I haven’t really felt completely relieved yet as the rash is bothering me so much - it doesn’t itch or hurt or anything, it just scares me xx 

Happy for you! Glad someone got some good news out of this. Im still waiting for my first chemo appointment. Hoping its not going to be too long.. the waiting is getting to me.x

I have no idea yet. Im going to make a new thread to see when people started theres. I had my scans on monday so surely wont be too long now x

Yeah I can imagine it's scary. It's the not knowing. Hopefully they can give you some answers later. 

The drain is out and they've said its all healing really well. So I'm very relieved.xx

I've been thinking about you today. What did the doctor say about the rash? 

I am a lot more comfortable without the drain but surgical cut seems a more vulnerable with only steri strips on it rather than the amazing bandage they had on. Xx

Thank you so much for your thoughts, the consultant was very patient with me - he could tell what a state I had worked myself into. He looked at my rash and had a feel, he isn’t concerned at all. He said as a breast consultant of 45 years he has seen many ibc cases and isn’t concerned about how my rash looks, he thinks it’s a reaction to something to do with the biopsy.

Ohh yes the steri strips don’t feel like they cover enough do they, although I guess it’s important to let it breathe. I am so glad you’re feeling a lot more comfortable xxx
