Coping with the wait!

Hi, just wondering how anyone else has been able to cope with waiting for test results.  Have been told I have cancer but waiting for biopsy results to determine whether it's lymphoma and if so what type.  The waiting is so frustrating and upsetting and I feel like I'm on an emotional rollercoaster.  I try to keep myself busy and to avoid researching - although that's quite difficult at times.  Sometimes it's hard to stop my mind wandering to worse case scenario.  I'm sure that there are lots of you in the same position and wondered if you chould share how you are dealing withi it, or just confirm that what I'm going through is perfectly normal :)

  • Hi, I have just joined the forum and I am in the same boat as you, your post was the first I read and I can totally relate to what you are describing, it is a rollercoaster with emotions and feeling.

I like you am trying to think positive and not read to much into it before all my results and Scan are reported on and I am told what the journey ahead is going to be, but it’s the waiting that is most difficult, the unknown! We will get there and keep positive and it’s good to have this chat forum for support as well. Take care of yourself. X

  • I'm in exactly the same boat.. Day 17 and no results yet.. Had hysteroscopy and biopsy. Still bleeding with cramping and pain and lower back pain.. Can't help but Google and now fearing the worst.. This waiting game is so difficult.. I hope we all get answers soon. Good luck xx

  • Hi sorry to hear that you too are in the "waiting room" which can be quite frustrating at times.  I personally think the waiting is the most difficult time to deal with as you can't actually be proactive or plan to do a great deal to move things forward and whilst I realise that biopsies don't give results overnight it can seem like an endless wait.  Stay strong focus on best case scenarios and try to find ways to distract your mind.  I do a lot of reading and crafts xx

Fingers crossed and prayers for the best possible outcomes for all.

Keep us posted of your progress x
