I just recently had an endoscopy for suspected hiatus hernia and it mentioned on the report possible Barretts (my mother had this)  I am also concerned about how it might be, if it is found to be the case after biopsy treated and monitored. 

I can fully understand your worry.  Having something and not knowing when and if it could change. 

I do hope that you don't have to wait to long.  my referral was fast tracked because of my mother and symptoms and it came through within a couple of weeks, so hopefully yours will be the same.

Thanks for your reply. I have had barrets for around 5 years now. I do have yearly endoscopies but I just feel something has changed. I have been on Omeperazole for years and have just been changed to lanzaprasole. We will see.

You are right to get it checked out if you feel something isn’t right
I am not actually diagnosed with Barretts as yet just said on endoscopy report that it saw possible Barretts tongue ? Biopsy taken to check so need to wait and see. I actually didn’t know I had a hiatus hernia until recently .
