Nobody takes preference, my first biopsies in 2019 were back in 2/3 weeks, this year the first lot were back after 2 weeks but the results with the hyperplasia took over 5 weeks and I was tearing my hair out! Last womb biopsy took over 4 weeks, guess it depends how busy the labs are, my hysterectomy results I’m not expecting for around 5/6 weeks as there is a lot to dissect.

I came home looking like I’m expecting triplets ! Hoping everything will settle down soon

It's big surgery,you need to take things very easy and give yourself time to recover.

I sort of assumed that too, but a conversation with my consultant told me it’s not the case, there is also the MDT meetings to consider, a lot of hospitals have MDT’s as standard and so if your results come back the day after the weekly MDT you have to wait until your results are discussed at the MDT the following week.

The waiting is the worst…I’ve got another period of it now until my hysterectomy results are back and hoping nothing nasty was lurking there, I’ll be pleased to see the back of 2023!

Sounds like u have been through an awful lot hope that u don’t have to wait too long . How are u coping with the pain ? 

The broken arm is more painful than the hysterectomy if I’m honest..my tummy is still swollen but the trapped wind has now all gone, that was really painful..I’m just glad to have it all out the way and just hoping the results are ok…I’ll be back in hospital again for the pinning of my arm before too long I suspect…happy days, said nobody ever!
