Hi,just be glad of any info or advice concerning endometrial cancer.
I'm in my very late 50s,finished my periods two and a half years ago.
Had a very unexpected and heavy period lasting five days.
Was referred for a scan and told my endometrial lining was 5mm,
I then had to have a vaginal scan which confirmed that the lining was 5mm.
My GP wasn't unduly concerned but gynae nurse insisted they arrange for me to have a hystercopy,
thankfully I'm having that with a general anaesthetic within this next month.
I'm just wondering if this is a fuss over nothing?
From what I've read a 5 mm lining is not particularly severe?
I'm tempted just to cancel the appointment when it comes through.
It's been a rough few weeks with a whole series of tests not to mention two bouts of shingles,
I'd just like to put the whole thing behind me.
Thank you.
