  • I have a thickening of the womb lining too, ive been told, by the appointments coordinator, that I could be waiting for 53 weeks for a hysteroscopy and biopsy. Scary times.

  • 53 weeks that's crazy- I'd definitely be reaching out to PALS as anything with suspected cancer is meant to be seen within 63 days and that includes starting treatment.

I was seen within 3 weeks and had biopsies. I was then called in a week later with my results then since had MRIs etc which in total has take two months because my hospital is so backlogged. I'm pretty lucky they caught mine early.

    Fingers crossed for you

  • It does seem a bit negligent doesn't it, but i was assured by the booking coordinator that she had other priority patients who had been waiting for 53 weeks. I emailed PALS and they said to contact them again if I hadn't heard anything within a week, so i emailed them again yesterday. I think im being punished for not being able to have the biopsy and hysteroscopy without an anaesthetic.

  • I guess it depends on other factors too. Your age and whether you are post menopausal, the other symptoms that led you to have the ultrasound etc. If you have a spare £2-2,500, then you could get it done next week, privately......
