I do not have cancer. I have been investigated for endometrial cancer, had a colposcopy and also a referral for a lump on my tonsil in the last 18 months. So far, so good, although I continue to have symptoms. I have also had many gastroenterological tests over the course of 4 years and have IBS-C with visceral hypersensitivity. I had an enlarged thyroid investigated which turned out to be Hashimoto's. So, lots of experience of tests and the anxiety and worry which comes along with that. I was close to my Step Dad who had esophageal cancer and did all the driving to his appointments. He was cancer free for nearly 2 years but had a sudden return in stomach, lungs and liver. I was with him when he passed away. I have also worked as a fundraiser for our local hospice for the last year and speak to the public every day about hospice care and with 60% of the patients having terminal cancer, I listen to people's experiences every day.
