Hi
I have been told that if anything untoward is discovered
in the biopsy, that the patient is usually informed within around 48 hours. Is this true?
Thankyou

Hi!
My biopsy results were around two weeks after biopsy. From what I have read on this forum and from chatting with others I think this is fairly normal.
48 hours seems a bit quick but I may be wrong!
I hope you get positive news when you get your results. Try to keep busy in the mean time - the waiting is the worst part!
Sending best wishes x
Ok thankyou so much x
Hi just seen someone replied but I had my results appointment tomorrow, and it was a 2 week wait. It's usually a 10-14 days cycle from GP appointment for referral to hospital appointment and so on if that helps. The Gp and consultant explained this to me whether it's good or bad.
Waiting and thinking is the worst , hope your ok. And try not to think to much

Hi Seza72. I waited 15 days for my biopsy results. Surgery 12 days after the cancer was confirmed. Around 2 weeks seems to be the norm whether it's good or bad news. Try not to worry or read anything into the length of the wait. Hoping your results are all clear, best wishes, Mog, x
The waiting for results is a worrying time but try not to overthink it. Hopefully the biopsy will be clear, but if not it will be dealt with quickly
Best wishes
