Breast lump

Hi everyone!
I recently found a lump and had the doctors yesterday afternoon where she referred me to a specialist at our local hospital. She's said that I will probably need an ultrasound and a breast biopsy. Can anyone give me some information on this? What it's like?
I'm also 27 and I have an 8 year old daughter and if I'm being honest, I'm absolutely terrified of it being something bad when it's probably nothing.

    I'm due my hospital appointment at the breast clinic tomorrow after finding a lump almost 3 weeks ago so completely understand how you're feeling right now, I'm perimenopausal (a bit early at 43) so presuming it's hormone related but it's so easy to let your mind think the worst.

     

    I know I'm having an ultrasound and mammogram, possibly a biopsy depending on what I they find. Do you have your appointment yet?
