Referral Anxiety

Hi all,

I'm 35 and recently found a lump in my breast. My GP has referred me and I have an appt for 15th Feb. Like many of you on here, I'm extremely anxious, I have a young family and my mum has previously had breast cancer so it also suffers a lot the emotions that I went through with her.

Can I ask, anyone who has recently been to an appt, where you able to take someone with you? I'm worried that with covid restrictions, they won't allow you to.

Thank you

K

  • Hi there

I am 33, two little ones and found a few small masses (I think they aren't quite lumps as I imagine lumps to be this neat ball like shape, mine are quite irregular and fixed) and I have an appointment in two weeks for a check.

My hospital letter didnt make any mention of whether or not I can bring someone, but there was a number to call in case of questions. Maybe yours has somethinf similar?
