Indeterminate breast calcifications

Hi, has anyone else had this issue?  I went into breast clinic with another lump (I've had numerous fluid filled cysts over the last four years).  That was all fine but they flagged up calcifications on the other side.  I was really shocked.  I've got a biopsy next week and I'm in that horrible inbetween place of not knowing and worrying.  Is this likely to be DCIS?  Thanks x

  • Hello! Sorry for late reply. It was my birthday on Easter Saturday. I enjoyed lots of sun and some cake and lovely food.

Mammogram and ultrasound this Saturday. Was meant to start weekly chemo and phesgo today, but my neutrophils are too low so it's been delayed by a week. Just as well as my ecg isn't until the 25th April. They have to do an ecg to make sure my old ticker is strong enough for the phesgo. All fun and games...NOT!

Anyway I hope you are doing well. Xx

  • Happy belated birthday wishes!

Glad you had a lovely day and the sun was shining for you xx

  • Aww, thank you. How are you doing today? Xx

  • You're welcome!

Having a bit of a blah day! Bored of being sore haha. My daughter didn't get a place at our preferred school yesterday so that's been on my mind. Not that I can do anything about it!!! Just feels like I can't catch a break at the moment.

But....shouldn't moan!!! I know it could be a lot worse. Will pull myself together and get out the happier side of the bed tomorrow!!

    Sorry for the negativity!!!

    Sending hugs xx

  • Oh no! Sorry about your daughter's school place. I know what a blow that can be. Please don't apologise for any negativity, we all have days like this and it's more than healthy to let it out. I had a mostly down week last week and was being far too harsh on myself and then I had a very unexpected period. Its been on hold for the last couple of months and then decided to show up. So I'm not surprised I felt all over over the place.

Are you limited in your bathing at the moment? I'd say have a long warm bath otherwise.

Sending hugs, light and love xx

  • Thank you for your kind words and understanding! I know that down times are normal but good to hear it from someone else who gets it!

Oh my god how great would a nice warm bubbly bath be!! Sadly not allowed haha!!

Having my pump and bandages off tomorrow so hopefully that will make things easier.

    Xxxxxxx

  • Morning lovely lady

Hope today goes well and that you feel a bit brighter. I have to say, I am feeling like a normal person this week and it feels awesome. The extra week between last treatment and new regimen is actually just what i needed. I am throwing beetroot, kale, celery, cucumber and blueberry smoothies down my neck every day to try and increase my blood counts. I think mentally I will be ready next week to start my new regimen of treatment. Bring it on!

  • Hi PositiveT

Hope your recovery is going well. I think we are all entitled to 'down' days so I wouldn't beat yourself up about it. I've had quite a few myself in the last two weeks, mainly because I have felt completely exhausted and beaten up. I seemed to have turned a corner yesterday though - which was exactly 2 weeks post surgery. Hoping to get my two drains taken out tomorrow - they have given me more discomfort than the foob and make it difficult to sleep.

No results yet - hopefully next week.

`I had a lovely Easter thank you - helped by the beautiful weather and not having to do any gardening! I have managed to hoover and do the ironing though.

Hope today goes well and you are feeling brighter.

    xx

  • Hi Vicki_76

So pleased to hear that you are feeling much better this week. Those smoothies sound delicious and a great idea.

Hope you had a lovely birthday and wishing you the best of luck for your new regimen.

    xx

  • Awww, thank you. Glad to hear you have turned a small corner and I hope you get some comfort when your drains are removed. Not getting quality sleep is really horrible.

Sending positive happy vibes to you xxx
