  • [@linds16]‍ , Hi Linds, thank you so much, that’s realky thoughtful of you. I’ve had a really good week, but hair falling out yesterday in the shower like no ones business, clumps of about 20 to 30 hairs. It looked fine when it was dry, you wouldn’t know really as I have a good head of thick hair, the chemo nurse said weeks 6 to 8 will be the telling factor as to whether the cold cap worked for me. Bated breath and all that. How’s the heartburn? Kerp well, Lyn. XX

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ hi i hope you had good Easter time with your family and tomorrow back to reality. Time its flying tomorrow your next chemo ... yes cold cup not always helping but we still need to try it i love my hair...I will be thinking about you tomorrow but to be honest iam thinking about you every day , how you feel , how is side effects from chemo and all this. Keep strong you already know whats going to happen tomorrow. XxZ

  • [@linds16]‍ hi how are you ? Easter time , lockdown it's coming to the end , lots of good and positive things around us. How you manage your work and side effects at the moment? Im thinking about you xxZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ , Hi Z, it’s been lovely, out in the garden weeding and planting for the last three days, bit of a downer yesterday, started to notice the fallen hair on my shoulders over the last couple of days, it’s mostly coming out from the nape of my neck and the hairline above my ears at the sides, probably just on the periphery of the cold cap. Having that loss in the shower was the pits, but when it dried it wouldn’t be noticeable to anyone else at the moment. My scalp is incredibly sore where I lost the hair from. You have a very thick head of hair too, are you from the middle east Z? Yes I know what to expect tomorrow.  How did you get on on saturday? I was thinking about your heart scan - all good? Will let you know how I get on tomorrow, it should be quicker. Keep well, wishing you lots more sunshine! Lyn. XX

  • [@Anna71][@yorkiegal]‍

Hi Lyn and Zana, I've had a lovely Easter weekend thanks.  I went on a couple of walks with friends and on Sunday we met up with our daughter for a picnic lunch and a walk, whcpich was just lovely.  The side effects are pretty limited now thankfully and the heartburn seems under control with the Omeprazole though I still need it.

My next session is 15th April, so I have a bit of time,  Work is good thanks, I am lucky and can be quite flexible about my diary so that has helped, though this week will be busy, but I like it to be busy, makes it feel normal.

Good to hear you are both ok, thinking of you both as we go into this new week. Linds x

  • [@linds16]‍ , [@Anna71]‍ Hi , Sounds like you had fun yesterday, as Zana said exciting times ahead, and being able to meet up with family and friends again. A whole 9 days of (hopefully none) or only the very smallest of any side effects, so pleased the heartburn is under control it can be beastly. Wishing you a smooth ride over the coming 9 days. Lyn. • [@yorkiegal]‍ , hello my lovely how are you after second (party) session ,i hope you doing well . I completely forgot to as yoi  do you have picc line while in chemo ? I was booked on 19 th to have one done , so much in one day . I hope you doing well, having little sleep at night and managing your life day by day. Iam thinking about you xxZ

  • [@Anna71]‍  hi Z, Tired, tired, tired. I haven’t slept since sunday night, I was at hospital yesterday from 9.20am and I left at 6pm. Steroids creating havoc with my ability to sleep, I was ironing from 02.30am this morning until 5am, just made a roast dinner and couldn’t eat it, I was so tired, and the steroids have given me horrendous heartburn - apart from that I’m fine! Lol! No picc line for me, they are finding plenty of veins on my right hand..........things could change though, the lady that fitted the cannula said things can go south by chemo 4 with the hand. I am going to try and get some sleep now. Thanks for thinking of me Z, i’ll be there for you on your Chemo challenge. Mwah! Look after yourself. Lyn. XX

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ hi , i can see you will gain new skills while you on chemo , night shifts ironing ... so sorry about that. I understand its not a holiday. Originally im from Lithuania and i born in Soviet Union at that time , my dad was Russian and mum Lithuanian. Lots of people mixing me as from Middle east but im European.I booked myself for second vaccination on Saturday just a week before my party time will start ( chemo) . Did you mentioned to onco nurse about insomnia and heartburn, maybe there is something to help you ? This week will be tough for you and then better days ahead . Im thinking about you every day Lyn , be strong ... xxZ

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ Hi Lyn, sorry to hear about the heartburn, I had that bad after Chemo 1 and they prescribed Omeprazole, and increased it to twice a day when it was really bad and have me in it permanently now each day one tablet.   Hope the nurses can give you something to help as it is debilitating for sure.  Also hope the steroids wear off soon and you get some rest x
