Her2 positive IDC breast cancer

Jus a few weeks ago i was diagnosed with Invasive ducal carcinoma Her2 positive. Mammogram showed fibroadenoma and ultrasound small lesion , when i came for biopsy results i get diagnosis: breast cancer . I wish to find someone with same diagnosis to keep in touch and chat about it . X

  • [@Anna71][@linds16]‍ , Hi Anna, Sorry for delay, we were out all afternoon then I fell asleep on the sofa. The small ‘p’ would be for Pagets the large T is for tumour size 1b means a tumour between 5mm and 10mm the N is for node and 0 means zero, so node clear (sn) is for sentinel. Hope this helps, I am pleased for you - no lymph node involvement. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. XX

Hi Linds, Fine today thankfully, I had bad heartburn too, I had had bad heartburn for many years, but as soon as I was diagnosed I cut out all refined carbs - bread, biscuits, cakes overnight and it literally stopped overnight, so I knew it was related to chemo, it was pretty bad. Great that you are getting out and about, well done you, keep well, Lynne. XX

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ hello Lyn how are you, how is your weekend ? I went to hospital today to breast clinic and oncologist. My surgeon congratulate me with cancer free life plus he is happy with pathology results , no lymph node involved. Next step i went to oncologist, my treatment plan its Paclitaxel every week for 12 weeks , Trastuzumab once every week and after injections for bone destiny, i will start on 19 th of April , bloods and covid and heart checks, and 20 or 21 chemo . Thats my plan , no radiotherapy as no lymph node involved. So i guess iam happy with this plan sign all forms and free to go. Have a loovely evening, xZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ @Linds16, hi Z, I was thinking  of you earlier, wondering how you got on. Is the Paclitaxel via IV and the Herceptin? (Trastuzumab), I have to have the bone density injections too, twice a year for 3 years after all the treatment, so very similar treatment in many ways I got Docetaxel and you got Paclitaxel, both ‘taxanes’. Good that you have a start date Zana - 3 weeks away. It’s good you don’t need Radiotherapy one less thing to inflict on your body, it supposedly causes awful tiredness that can take months or even years to get over if you’re unlucky. All in all not a bad day? You take care. We have nice weather coming........enjoy Z! Lyn. XX

  • [@Anna71][@yorkiegal]‍

Hi Zana, really pleased to hear your positive news and a plan for treatment. It's so much easier when you have a clear plan, isn't it?

Hi Lyn, hope you've had a good day and the side effects are minimised for the last week of your cycle.

I had a better day.  I worked (I work from home) and took a few walks and my energy levels are good but the heartburn is giving me back pain, which is annoying, but it eased a bit through the day!

Hope the weather is good for you both tomorrow and you manage to enjoy it. Linds x

  • [@linds16][@Anna71]‍ , Hi Linds, I’ve been good thanks, the odd niggle - trots on and off, but nothing compared to the horrors of week 1 after. So sorry to hear about the heartburn, it really is debilitating for sure. Glad your energy levels are up, that makes a world of difference. The temperature shot up to 13 degrees today, if the wind drops it’ll be great, longing to do a bit in the garden. Down to earth with a bump on Easter sunday (birthday) booked in for bloods early morning before round 2 on tuesday. Still.......... almost a week away yet.......time for fun in between. Do mention the heartburn next session, they'll give you some omeprazole or similar,  take care Linds. X

  • [@yorkiegal]‍hi yeeee this week really like a summer time, lots of walk and walk. Enjoying my friedom before next step, this saturday going to have heart checks and them two weeks break until chemo. Im happy at the moment i still have few weeks off and free from any treatment, easther time and beautiful weather. I back to work since last week for few days and this helps me to move on and forget about everything. • [@yorkiegal]‍ hi just to say that iam thinking about you , hope you dealing with your second session well ... millions hugs xxxZ

  • @Anna71, Hi Z, So sorry I couldn’t get back to you, we swapped internet providers early this week, it was supposed to be ‘seamless’ what a joke, no internet for days, my husband has been on the phone to them every day, it’s just sprung to life this morning. Good luck today with your heart check. I thought I would have to have a covid check every time before chemo, but I was told no, it was only for the first time, but the bloods have to be done 48 hours before every chemo session. Not looking forward to Tuesday, I’ve felt really well this week, no side effects at all. It’s lovely and sunny today, going to get a few jobs done in the garden. Thank you for thinking about me, I really appreciate it! Have a good weekend. XXX
