  • [@Anna71]‍ , Yes I’ve been reading so many others experience, so different for everyone, Docetaxel does sound like a ‘baddy’, but i’ll meet it head on, we have to don’t we? And you’re right the staff are wonderful, I went to the Haematology unit yesterday for the covid test to make sure I’m ‘safe’ for today - they were all absolutely lovely, I never dread going to my hospital, I don’t love it either don’t get me wrong, but the staff make it so easy to be there. Speak soon lovely Zana - thanks for being there. XX

  • @Lyn, everyone differently reacting and everyone definitely will have side effects (nausea and bon pain) my enemies. I guess after chemo i will have much bigger list with add to the list of enemies. Iam always saying that we dont have choices apart that beat this cancer ... before you and me there was millions woman who did this. You not alone you will meet so many ladies in chemo area and it will help you ... Iam thinking about you xZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ , so very true Zana, just leaving for hospital, speak soon. XX

  • @Lyn, iam thinking about you and very soon i will follow you xZ

  • @Lyn, thinking about you ...difficult times xZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ , Hi Z, all went well,  got home for 3pm, no bad reactions to anything, infact no reactions at all, the cold cap was a mild irritation nothing more, I had the Herceptin injection then cold cap put on immediately. it was only on for the length of the Docetaxel plus half hour to drop to temperature and 1/2 hour to defrost, so two hours in total, I thought it would be far worse, but not at all, feeling good but of course I’m expecting ‘things’ to kick in over the next few days. Lyn. X

  • @Lyn, congratulations huray you did one out of six or eight of chemo.?! Iam so happy to hear that! Really exited for you , all day i was worry and watching watch , thinking how difficult must be for you. As you said tomorrow after tomorrow you will see changes but at the moment you already at home with hubby... have a good rest and lets see how its your first night will go :) xZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ , It’s 6 for me Anna, so 18 weeks. Thanks for thinking of me, that’s so thoughtful. I took a book to read and puzzle book, but never really looked at them, there were lovely people to chat with, eight of us in total, though five were too far away to chat to. I had blown the chemo delivery itself up out of all proportion. I absolutely understand that unpleasant side effects will be on the horizon soon, and over the months they will build up - I’m not naive, but today I’m fine and that’s good enough for me. Also it was a real bonus I didn’t get brain freeze! Enjoy chillin’ and you too rest..... speak soon, Lyn. X

  • @Lyn, good morning , how is your sleep after first session it may make you tired and you slept better than usually? I guess you meed very few days after chemo for your body to adapt this changes isnt . I hope you ok , its beautiful morning . Cant sleep im keep waking up as i feel pulling pain in my chest or breast or dont even know what i have there after mastectomy. Its absolutely not pleasant time. I will still need to complete two weeks of antibiotics and on 29 th will go for my pathology report and then will take from that. Have a lovely day xZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ Hi Z, No better sleep sadly, just been out for a long walk on the beach front, I feel so much better doing something rather than sitting. Tummy a bit up and down this morning, taken an anti sickness tablet and had a peppermint tea, hopefully it will settle. I have felt allsorts from the breast after removal and recon, as the swelling goes down the part filled expander feels a bit awkward. I had lots of antibiotics, I had to keep taking them to try heal the little part under the breast that was stubborn to heal, It’s just healed, dressings removed again for the final time on monday, and I’m showering like there’s no tomorrow! Wil be thinking of you on the 29th. Have a great day! Lyn. X
