Her2 positive IDC breast cancer

Jus a few weeks ago i was diagnosed with Invasive ducal carcinoma Her2 positive. Mammogram showed fibroadenoma and ultrasound small lesion , when i came for biopsy results i get diagnosis: breast cancer . I wish to find someone with same diagnosis to keep in touch and chat about it . X

  • @Lyn , hi how are you doing this beautiful mothers day Sunday. I went for a short walk first time after surgery. Iam definitely much better today and my apetite its getting better. Iam slightly high in temperature (38.0) yesterday and today but i think its after mastectomy. Tomorrow going to breast clinic to check my wound , i hope they will remove this drain ( annoying) . Iam thinking about your first chemo this week , how is situation can you bring anyone with you for treatment? I hope so this is the case but if i was alone i hospital it could be likely you have to stay alone on chemo. To be honest i dont mind just want to be treated and go back to normal new normal. Thinling about you every day xx

  • [@Anna71]‍ , Hi Z, Happy mothers day! I just got back from visiting mum, I made her a lovely lunch and we spent most of the day with her.  I probably won’t see her again until after chemo - 18 weeks. I am also having wound checked tomorrow, I was told last week it would probably be the last time it needed to be dressed. My pit drain came out at 10 days, and the under breast was removed at 13 days. They are a bit of a niggle, I felt so different once they were removed. I’m pleased you’re feeling better and eating. You can’t have anyone with you at chemo, hubby has to drop me at the door to the unit, it’s going to be a long day as they deliver the first one very slowly incase you have a bad reaction, so hubby will go home and i’ll ring him to pick me up. I’ll let you know how I get on over the coming days. You take care hun, Lyn. XX

  • @Lyn, wishing you all the best tomorrow with first chemo sessions, thinking about you xZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ , Hi Z, Thank you so much, the dreaded steroids have arrived, I cannot sleep even one wink. Pretty chilled about chemo, no point getting stressed about it, will let you know how it goes. Take care, hope you’re resting! Lyn. X

  • @Lyn, hi i can imagine your fear you going alone , but as soon you in again nurses will take care of you. I cant wait to get chemo and to say after to you oh Lyn i did half of it . I went for my appointment yesterday they remove drains and bandage, all seems fine in such a short time , iam five days after surgery. If you not sleeping please chat to me xZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ , Hi Z, Definitely NOT SLEEPING, went to bet at 12.30 with hubby, got up at 2am as I was tossing and turning, have been awake ever since, emailing friends etc, not remotely tired, will probably be a good thing if I am tired during chemo. Spoke with chemo dept at 6.30pm last night for an hour, they rang, told me what to expect with sid effects and timings etc today, so, Herceptin injection to stomach - 3 minutes, wait one hour for a reaction or not, then docetaxel 45 minutes to an hour via IV, wait one hour for reaction or not, then carboplatin 1 hour and wait an hour before I go home, appointment is 8.45, it will take 30 minutes to set the drugs up and cold cap so should start no later than 9.45. If I have no reactions I should be finished by 4pm allowing for cold cap to thaw - a LONG day! XX

  • [@Anna71]‍ , So fast for drains and bandages - well done you! That’s brilliant. If I could I would raise a glass of alcohol to you - cheers Zana, I will raise a cup of tea to you instead! X
