Hiya, I am just reading your posts and wondered how you were getting on? I have been diagnosed with invasive ductal grade 3 and awaiting a lumpectomy and senital node in two weeks time to then find out more.

sorry I did not see this reply I'm fine thank you I had my lumpectomy and sentinel node surgery on the 7th feb I wont lie the surgery wasnt good for me especially the sentinel node removal,I've had 2 breast implant and lift surgerys before and this was worse for me. it's been just over 2 weeks and I'm finally seeing some improvement I'm almost able to lift my arm all the way up now, though I caught a chest infect couple of days after surgery and then a sinus infec aswell so was in in hospital as I was really unwell. I get my final results on Wednesday 26th it's been a long time waiting, so I really have no clue wethor my grades or staging has changed I dont no wethor my lymphs were clear or my margins,I'm also unsure on my hers2 as this kept coming back borderline for some strange reason so my preliminary results were all abit up in the air, but I've only couple more days and then I'll finally find out my full treatment plan,I hope your surgery goes well and if you want to talk I'm here xx

Thanks for replying. Oh what a time you have had, I'm hope the chest and sinus infections are cleared up now. It's such a long wait, I will be five weeks from diagnosis til lumpectomy then another maybe two weeks wait for results. Good days and stressful days in between. Hard not to overthink and worry. Not long for you now so that's good and hopefully the results are good. Did they give you any indication of how they felt it went after the op or is that not something they do? How long was the op? 

my chest infect is almost gone thankfully because it wasnt pretty lol, all my surgeon said was that the op went well they removed my tumour which was small so it's a matter of hoping the margins and lymphs were clear. I saw him wed just gone for a wound check because I have a small seroma and he didn't give nothing away just said that my results arent in yet I was kinda hoping he would have something back but if he had he wasnt telling me, not long now till your surgery that's one more big step that you'll of crossed and to be fair even though the waiting inbetween for your results is tough it actually goes quite quick xx
