I can truly sympathise with you, having not only been a patient going through a prostate cancer diagnosis, but also someone who cared for his mother many years ago when she had breast cancer...

This month makes 8 years since my diagnosis for Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, the journey was not easy but I have made it this far. Treatments have come a very long way since I was diagnosed and more and more men are surviving something one could not even contemplate 8 years ago. My mantra as always been 'Never ever give up' and I pass that onto you and your father...As stated by others the journey is not easy, and each person's journey is different, equally each carer's journey is different (we can't forget about the carers they are the lifeline for the patient)...The good thing in this chat room is you are amongst experienced and good-hearted people and as well as an organisation that leads the way in cancer research and ultimately saved my life through its research...Anything you want to ask or vent, know that it can be done in here safely with informative and precise responses forthcoming  ...Happy New Year to both You & Your Father...

Thank u so much 4 taken time 2 answer . We just waiting 4 letter appointment 4 bone scan then we should know more and hopefully 2 see what treatment he can have it's waiting game again . 

My father got appointment Friday for bone scan I'm worried 2 death . The past few years been 1 thing after another why do bad things always happen 2 hard working good people . I hate cancer :( 

Hi gemini, most strange I've got another bone scan on Friday, specialist wants to double check my uninvited guest hasn't sneaked somewhere else, you know it takes hours for a bone scan ..Best wishes .

Hi hope it all goes ok 4 u 2 Friday. Yea my father haven the injection at 12:15 they spoke to him on phone and everything was in letter  what they doing . My father only had that appointment for Friday because there was cancellation or he would have 2 wait nearly 2 weeks because our hospital don't do bone scan he got 2 go 2 another hospital. Thanks 4 taken time in answering u take care . 

Hi gemini, hope you're father is taking plenty to read or something, then food and drink maybe three hour wait is boring with only other patients to talk to sometimes. Best wishes for Friday.... Billy 

Morning billy my niece be taken him my niece will keep him amused ;) I would have gone with him but little boy is in full time nursery. They also told my father to keep away from children and pregnant women after he haves it done . Thanks again x
